(POLITICAL SATIRE) (WASHINGTON, 4/28/17) President Trump, only a few hours short of his first 100 days in office, had a period of forty-five minutes today where he did not utter one false statement.
The President started the day watching a rerun of The Flintstones, according to inside sources. As he was midway through his favorite episode of Mr. Ed, (where Ed prank calls Wilbur) his truthful run ended abruptly when Trump said “My friend Pavarotti is coming to lunch today.”
The opera singer has been dead for years and his widow says Trump and her husband were not friends.
Today’s forty-five minutes of verisimilitude is the longest in Trump’s presidency, to date.
