Trump taxes all Mexican food sold in U.S. to pay for Wall

(Political Satire, Still Legal in the USA) (WASHINGTON–Jan 26, 2017) Declaring he would get Mexico to pay for his border wall by “any means necessary,” President Trump today signed an Executive Order placing a tax on all Mexican food sold in the United States.

Effective immediately, all tacos, burritos, chimichangas, and enchiladas (red or green) will be taxed at a rate of 20% of the price on the menu. Flautas, quesadillas, frijoles charros, tostadas, and huevos rancheros will be taxed at 10%. Dulce de leche, empanadas and flan will be taxed at only 5%, since the President has a sweet tooth.

Taco Bowls are completely exempt, since it is the only pseudo-Mexican food Trump eats, and because it’s sold at his hotels.

The Failing Times went to  The Adobe Cactus, a Mexican eatery in El Paso, and asked Tex “Tex” Tallhatman, a trucker, what he thought of the new tax.

“Wait a minute, “Tex said. ” Doesn’t he get that if Americans have to pay tax on Mexican stuff sold in the U.S., that we are actually the ones paying for this wall?”

When we asked Trump advisor Kelleyann Conway to respond to that, she said:

“Voter fraud is a very serious issue. The President is going to be investigating that immediately.”
