(Political Satire–Still Legal in the U.S.) PORTLAND, OR– A man from Portland, Oregon, furious over Russian involvement in the Presidential election, wrote a “perfectly worded” post on his Facebook wall today and instantly felt better.
The man, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he had been feeling despair over the emerging facts that Russian hackers at the highest level, perhaps with the knowledge of the Trump campaign, had influenced the election.
“Coupled with an unprecedented letter from the FBI days before we voted, it made me realize that something had to be done. Our Republic is at stake.”
Here is his post, quoted in its entirety:
“This election sucks! We can’t sit by and let Russia ruin our democracy. We MUST do something!”
After posting, the man immediately felt “as light as a feather.”
“It was as if a weight was off my shoulders,” he said. “Back in the days of our Revolution, we had heroes at Lexington and Concord who fought and died for our new nation. I felt this was the least I could do.”
When asked if the man would consider more than just posting on Facebook to express his outrage, he said, “You mean like take to the streets? Do you know how cold it is out there?”
